Number of stories on a home

Generally speaking the number of stories is straight forward. Wind is usually at much greater speeds the higher from the ground you are. For the wind mitigation form a story is defined by any exposed floor above seven (7) ft A single floor house build on stilts might count as two stories. Attic spaces do not count.
